13	Email Reporting

Rentavault makes use of the email system to keep you informed with the status of your Rentavault activities. Please make sure your contact information within the Rentavault system is correct to receive the reports described in this chapter.

13.1	New User Report

When a new Rentavault account is added to the Rentavault network, a new user report will be delivered to the contact email(s) of the new account. The New User Report contains the following information:

13.2	Forgot Password Report

If you have forgotten your password, you can use the [Forgot Password] feature available on the web interface to have your password delivered to you through email. (Please refer to “Retrieve Forgotten Password” section in the next chapter for more information on how to retrieve your forgot password report.) The Forgot Password Report contains the following information:

13.3	Rentavault Job Report

For each Rentavault job you have run, a Rentavault job report will be sent to you by email. This report contains a summary for the Rentavault job that was run and a full listing of all files being backed up by the Rentavault job. The Rentavault summary report contains the following information:

Rentavault Time	The time when the Rentavault job ran
Rentavault Status	The overall status of the Rentavault job. Normally, you should see “ Rentavault finished successfully ” in this field. If you happen to get something else, please consult the attached full report for more information.
New Files	Total number and size of Rentavault files added to your Rentavault set
Updated Files	Total number and size of Rentavault files updated in your Rentavault set
Deleted Files	Total number and size of Rentavault files deleted from your Rentavault set
Moved Files	Total number and size of Rentavault files relocated in your Rentavault set
Login Name	Login name
Alias	Alias
Language	Preferred Language for your Rentavault report
Contact	Email Address that will be used to contact you
Rentavault Source	All files/directories that will be backed up
Rentavault Data Size	The total b ackup data stored in the data area
Retention Area Size	The total b ackup data stored in the retention area. Old copies of updated or deleted Rentavault files are retained in the retention area for the number of days as specified by the retention policy of the Rentavault set before they are removed from the system.

Remaining Quota	Remaining Quota

 

The full Rentavault report, which contains a full listing of all files backed up by the Rentavault job, is attached to the Rentavault job report email as a zip file. You need to unzip it before you can read the full report.

13.4	Setting Change Report

After you have updated your user profile or Rentavault setting, a setting change report will be sent to you. This report allows you to track record of the changes that have been made to your Rentavault account.

13.5	Inactive User Reminder

You will receive an inactive user reminder in email if your account has been left inactive for the period of 7 days (or the period specified by the system administrator). This is to remind you that you have not been running Rentavault for more 7 days. If you are a free trial user, your account will be removed from the system automatically if the system can track no records of your Rentavault activities in the next 15 days after receiving this report.
